The second ‘the boss Top 10 Business Excellence Award’ is going to be held in Kathmandu on March 11 this year.
Dr Shankar Sharma, vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission, gave away ‘certificates of appreciation’ to a large and distinguished group of panellists, on behalf of the boss magazine, the organisers of the event, in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The 66 panellists represent a cross section of eminent personalities from the business world, government and international body representatives, academicians and professionals. Each member of the ‘panel of jury’ has been chosen for his or her established contribution to the promotion of entrepreneurship. The distinguished panellists have been clubbed in different groups who would look after pre-defined segments of the awards and bring in their on-hand business experience and knowledge while choosing the best performer in each category.
Being held for the second year, the boss Top 10 Business Excellence Awards is an independent business award that celebrates and recognises the spirit of entrepreneurship in Nepal.
On the occasion, Shalini Wadhwa, CEO of the boss said, “The awards has been made possible only because of the commitment and collective efforts of the entire panel which lends its credibility and strength.”
On the occasion, Sameer Shukla of AC Nielsen made a presentation on the evaluation methodology for the forthcoming awards. Panelist, Anil Chitrakar, also an Ashoka Fellow, defined the newly-introduced category in this year’s awards, ‘social entrepreneur’ and underlined the importance of this kind of business entrepreneurs.
