Thumbs up for industry captains
Kathmandu, March 10:
The fourth ‘the boss Top 10 Business Excellency Awards’ were given away yesterday to 10 corporate personalities, recognising their spirit of entrepreneurship.
Finance minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat presented the awards at a function attended by business leaders, top policy makers and government officials, diplomats and professionals.
Gyanendra Lal Pradhan of Butwal Power Company bagged the ‘Best Male Entrepreneur’ title while Binita Pradhan of AVCO International Pvt Ltd was declared the ‘Best Female Entrepreneur’. Similarly, Best Entrepreneur IT title was given to Dileep Agrawal of Worldlink Communications, whereas Lily Thapa was declared the Best Social Entrepreneur. For the FNCCI-NYEF category, Aditya Kumar Khanal of Nobel Medical College & Nobel Institute was declared the winner.
The Person to Watch title went to Rajan Shakya of KGH group and Nabil Bank was declared the ‘Best Commercial Bank for 2007’. Ace Finance Company Ltd received the Best Financial Institution award while Butwal Power Company grabbed the Best Manufacturing and Marketing Company title.
Yak and Yeti Enterprises was declared Best M&M Trading and Service Company. The top three CEOs for 2007 were Radhesh Pant of Bank of Kathmandu, Siddhartha Raj Pant of Ace Finance Company and Sashin Joshi of NIC Bank.
Top 3 Management Students award went to Twinkle Khetan and Rajesh Prajapati of KUSOM for first and second positions. Jyoti Budathoki of Ace Institute of Management and Sabut Rai of Apex College shared the third position.
