A total of 6,791 tourists from third countries entered Nepal through the Kakadbhitta border point in Jhapa during the first eight months of the current fiscal year.

According to the Immigration Office in Kakadbhitta, the visitors included tourists from countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Bhutan.

The number of arrivals through the eastern border point has declined compared to the same period last fiscal year, when 8,723 tourists entered Nepal through Kakadbhitta.

Immigration data shows that 6,552 tourists from third countries exited Nepal through the same checkpoint after completing immigration procedures.

During the review period, more than 3,000 Nepalis returning from foreign countries for study and other purposes also entered the country through the Kakadbhitta border.
