Trade fair ends
Kathmandu: The 7th Handicraft Trade Fair concluded today with a large number of visitors thronging to see the fair. Bikash Dhakhwa, vice-chairman at Handicraft Association of Nepal (HAN) and coordinator of the event, said that the event proved fruitful to exhibitors in finding the demand for domestic market and locating potential exporters.
“The event helped to build a network for a more sustainable market,” Dhakhwa said. Events like this would encourage small-scale entrepreneurs as it provided them with a platform to showcase what they have for the market. People were deprived of marketing opportunities, which the fair provided, he said. The exhibitors at the event were satisfied with the good flow of people and also sale of products, he added.
The awards for the best stall at the event and report on the 5th craft competition are yet to be announced. A fashion show will officially conclude the event tomorrow.
