Triyuga Municipality distributes hand tractors to farmers

GAIGHAT: Triyuga Municipality in Udayapur district distributed thirty-nine hand tractors also known as mini-power trailers to farmers on Friday.

With an objective of increasing productivity, these machines were handed over to farmers for modernisation of the agricultural sector, Nathu Ram Chaudhary, Agriculture Development Department Chief at Triyuga Municipality, said.

In this fiscal, the municipality distributed various machines including mini trailer, thresher, brush-cutter among others in 50 per cent grant to farmers in the district.

Mayor Bal Dev Chaudhary said, "Bringing revolution in agriculture could make Nepal prosperous."

With the advent of technology, majority of farmers in the area are attracted towards these machines for agricultural purposes, Mayor Chaudhary shared.

He further said that the municipality is planning to establish an 'Agriculture Centre' in Bisanpur-12 in Triyuga to conduct research, training, development to facilitate farmers.
