KATHMANDU, JANUARY 5
Veel, a global platform for video marketing and creator collaborations, has announced plans to launch a pilot project in Nepal aimed at strengthening the country's growing creator economy. The announcement was made by founder and CEO Dileep Dhakal during Creator's Mela, an initiative supported by the U.S. Embassy Nepal.
Speaking at a panel discussion alongside U.S.-based creator Veronica Camacho, Dhakal emphasized the need for transparent and sustainable systems to help creators and brands collaborate more effectively. The session highlighted challenges faced by creators in emerging markets, including monetization barriers, platform dependency, and lack of standardized processes.
With Nepal's creator economy estimated at $30–40 million and significant growth potential, Veel's upcoming pilot aims to connect Nepali creators with brand opportunities and global standards, marking a key step toward professionalizing and scaling the digital creator ecosystem in Nepal.
