KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 4
Nepal SBI Bank Limited has elected Venkata Vamsidhar Kuncha as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors. The decision was made during the bank's 536th board meeting held on October 31, 2025.
Kuncha, representing the State Bank of India (SBI) on the Board, currently serves as Chief General Manager (International Banking) at SBI's International Banking Group, Corporate Office in Mumbai. He oversees the bank's international operations spanning 29 countries.
Following his election, Kuncha took the oath of office and secrecy before Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Prof. Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel at a ceremony held at the central bank's office in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
The event was attended by Deputy Governors Neelam Dhungana Timisina and Bam Bahadur Mishra, Executive Director Guru Prasad Paudel, Acting Executive Director Rajan Bikram Thapa, and Directors Rajendra Bhattarai, Ishwari Prasad Bhattarai, and Sharan Kumar Adhikari from NRB.
Also present were Nepal SBI Bank's Directors Ritesh Sinha, Bharat Raj Wasti, Apsara Upreti, and Gopal Prasad Bhatta; Managing Director and CEO Ram Kumar Tiwari; Deputy CEO and COO Vikas Anand; CFO Rajesh Kumar Panda; and Company Secretary Khageshwar Bhatt.
