Western Union inks tie-up with Nepal Bank Ltd
Kathmandu, February 28:
Western Union announced a strategic tie up with Nepal Bank Ltd (NBL) to provide inbound money transfer services across the country through its primary agent Hulas Remittance, at a press meet organised in the capital today.
Western Union (WU) money transfer service will now be available from 25 banking offices of Nepal Bank Ltd from its branch offices at Kathmandu, Pokhara, Biratnagar and Nepalgunj at the first phase of the services.
Speaking at a press meet, Anil Kapur, vice-president, South Asia, Western Union said, “The strategic relationship with NBL would help widen the network in reaching more people. Western Union’s reliable service would further be supported by this tie up.”
Consumers can quickly and reliably pay bills and transfer money around the globe using the WU’s proprietary money transfer network. The new accord would further help in making the inflow of remittance smooth and quick.
