KATHMANDU, APRIL 12

Nepal's Health Ministry shared the latest updates on coronavirus contagion from across the country.

Till date, 2,317,284 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method have been carried out wherein 5,105 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 85 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country. The number of active cases in Nepal is 3,306.

496 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered today taking the national tally to 280,524.

As many as 138 persons earlier diagnosed with the disease have tested negative in the last 24 hours. With the recent addition, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has now reached 274,165.

Meanwhile, thirteen fatalities were confirmed by the Ministry today, with which the country's COVID-19 death toll has reached to 3,053.

As of today, the country has witnessed 280,524 cases of the coronavirus infection while 274,165 people have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 3,053 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
