College seniors welcome freshers with a picnic

KATHMANDU: The senior level students pursuing Bachelor in Business Management (BBM) at Nepal Commerce Campus (NMC), Minbhawan recently organised a welcome picnic programme for the freshers — newly admitted students of BBM and BIM Ist Semester students.

The picnic was held in Dhulikhel where around 150 students and 25 teachers along with other staff participated in the event. Everyone gathered on the college’s premises before heading to their destination.

Then they started their journey from Baneshwor by bus. As it was an informal programme, the students began to enjoy their ride by singing and dancing in the bus. At around 9:00 am, the students reached their picnic destination. They had their breakfast, already prepared by cooking staff.

After having breakfast the students roamed around the woods to get the taste of nature where they were also able to see beautiful mountains. At the picnic spot, most of the students enjoyed dancing. Then a quiz contest was organised for the students. The interesting part was the announcement of the titles — Mr Fresher and Miss Fresher, the new students of BIM and BBM won the titles respectively.

Moreover, the students did their photo shoots in different poses. The picnic became a platform for freshers to get acquainted with the seniors of the college and vice versa. After a fun-filled day, they returned to Kathmandu with lovely memories for life.
