KATHMANDU: To acknowledge and pay tribute to the excellence in the field of Nepali music, the 19th Hits FM Music Awards 2072 is back again. Organised annually, the Awards ceremony this year will take place on March 11 at Army Officers’ Club, Bhadrakali, as per a press release issued by the Hits FM 91.2.

The nominations of 17 categories were announced on September 5, 2015. The nominees were selected from among the singles/albums released and registered within April 2014 to March 2015.

Along with announcing the winners from among these nominees, the event will present Lifetime Achievement Award to one such icon whose contribution is immense in the music industry.

Apart from award distribution and recognition, there will be performances by artistes — Deep Shrestha, Kumar Basnet, Kali Prasad Baskota and Sakshyam, Trishna Gurung and Rohit John Chettri — at the Award ceremony, the press statement adds.
