KATHMANDU: The Bhairav Cultural Protection Committee has decided to honour senior musician Amber Gurung with this year's Sarvagyaman Bishnu Devi Cultural Award.

The award carries a purse of Rs 70,000 and a letter of appreciation. The Committee has shared that Gurung is being honoured with the award for his notable contribution to the music sector.

Following successful medical treatment in India, Musician Gurung is currently recuperating at his Kathmandu-based residence.

Prior to this, Phatteman Raj Bhandari, Satya Mohan Joshi and Prem Dhoj Pradhan were honoured with this award.
