Fashion Link Event Management Private Limited in association with The Walk Fashion Zone is organising San Miguel Mr Nepal 2003 on February 21 at the Birendra International Convention Centre. Sixteen contestants are vying for various titles, all determined to win the main title — Mr Nepal. Some of the other titles are Mr Physique, Mr Talent, Mr Photogenic, First runner-up and Second runner-up among others.

The organisers say, “The agency has been established for the prosperity and betterment of the youths of the country and to provide them opportunities in various fields such as sports, music, acting, modelling and other forms of art and profession.”

On February 8, the participants had a wall climbing competition at Pasang Lamu Wall Climbing Centre, Shankar Park, Chakrapath. The best three in the wall climbing competition were contestant number five Bishal Bharati, contestant number 12 Nistaze Niraula and contestant number 13 Nagen Subba.

The 16 participants are representing different parts of the Kingdom — Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Dhading, Khotang, Udaypur, Ramechhap, Kathmandu, Lalipur among other places. They were selected on the basis of their height, education, physique and talent.

Contestant number 2 Jatin Tamrakar shares, “I am so happy to participate in Mr Nepal. From today the grooming class starts but I am waiting for the final day. I am sure I will win the title of Mr Nepal because I think I am handsome. I have the height and am talented too.”

The organising committee informs that on the final day, Nalina Chitrakar and Jems Pradhan will also be entertaining the audience with their melodious tracks.

Part of the sum collected from the event will be donated to Rekha Memorial Cancer Relief and Research Society Nepal.
