And Pacino makes it Ocean’s Thirteen
LOS ANGELES: Ocean’s Thirteen just got some added depth with the addition of Al Pacino to the star-studded cast, Daily Variety reported.
In the third installment of the caper films about charming rogue Danny Ocean (played by George Clooney), Pacino — who turned 66 on April 25 — will join the eminent ensemble alongside Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia and Don Cheadle.
The veteran actor, who has been nominated for eight Oscars and who took home the best actor statuette in 1992 for Scent of a Woman, last appeared in the 2005 film Two for the Money, with Matthew McConaughey.
Like the two earlier installments in the series, 2001’s Ocean’s Eleven and 2004’s Ocean’s Twelve, the movie — which is due to start filming on July 21 — will be directed by Steven Soderbergh, the Oscar-winning director of Traffic, according to Daily Variety.
Clooney will co-produce the Warner Brothers film, slated for release in summer 2007.
