Angelina For Serena?

LONDON: Angelina Jolie and Darren Aronofsky are in talks to work on a movie adaptation of Ron Rash book 'Serena'.

Angelina Jolie is in talks to appear in 'Serena'.

The 'Changeling' actress is reportedly set to star in the period drama - which is based on the Ron Rash book 'Serena: A Novel' - with 'The Wrestler' filmmaker Darren Aronofsky directing, claims The Hollywood Reporter.

The screenplay has been written by Chris Kyle, who worked on 'The Weight of Water', while Nick Wechsler from 'The Time Traveler's Wife' is the producer.

The book tells the story of man named George Pemberton and his wife Serena, who create a timber business in North Carolina in 1929.

However, Serena succumbs to murderous intentions when she discovers she cannot have children and sets out to kill her husband's illegitimate son.

Angelina is currently filming 'The Tourist' in Venice with Jonny Depp, although has no big roles lined up afterwards.

Johnny recently joked he joined the film because he wanted more press attention.

He said: "I feel I'm not getting photographed by the paparazzi enough, so I figure I'll go and hang out in Venice with Brad and Angelina."
