Anne Heche hits out at ex-hubby on Letterman

NEW YORK: Anne Heche is back in the news. Too bad that once again, it's not about her acting.

Heche was on "The Late Show with David Letterman" Wednesday taking apparent umbrage that her ex-husband, Coley Laffoon, with whom she has a 7-year-old son, would still want anything to do with her.

Calling him "lazy ass," Heche sneered at his interest in youth sports and his wish for her to be on the sidelines while he coaches. It was not clear whether she meant he would be coaching their son's team.

"It's like I can't get a divorce," raved Heche, whose divorce decree came in March, two years after Laffoon initiated proceedings. "I don't want to see him on Saturday ... running around in (his) tight shorts pretending (he) can play soccer with 7-year-olds."

She described what onetime cameraman Laffoon does for a living as: "He goes out to the mailbox and he opens up the little mailbox door and goes, 'Oh! I got a check from Anne! Yea!'"

OK, Annie, we're with you. We don't know why he'd want to be on the same planet as you, either.

Laffoon responded to his pillorying in Lohanesque fashion, via statements to Us magazine and on his Facebook page. To Us, he said: "After coming home from showing two different clients two different condominiums, I was disturbed to see Anne taking out her personal frustration on the father of her child on national television."
