Bachchan clan in Mehra’s next venture

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s most famous family — the Bachchans — will feature in a movie about conflict in the home of a classical musician, a newspaper reported on February 3. Amitabh Bachchan, his wife Jaya, a veteran actress, and their son Abhishek, an up-and-coming lead actor, will appear together on the big screen for the first time in the film about clashes within a creative household, filmmaker Rakeysh Mehra told the Mumbai Mirror.

The movie has been tentatively titled Bhairavi after one of the most popular ragas, the report said. Mehra told the newspaper he had narrated the story to the Bachchans and they confirmed they were on board. “They’re on. I’m ready to make the film as soon as the dates are worked out,” he said.

Calls to Mehra’s office went unanswered.
