Kathmandu:

The much-awaited Indian Idol 2 was finally crowned in a grand finale aired live on April 22. And the black horse Sandeep Acharya walked away with the title and a whole lot of other goodies.

Though the three judges were stunned by the results, they had no other option but to accept the verdict as Sandeep by voted the Idol by the audience poll.

Kajol graced the show and looked quite impressed with the two stars in the making.

Even after a stupenduous performance favourite Karunya was unable to win the crown.

The ever-smiling Sandeep, the boy from Bikaner, was first noticed for his smile and his Udit Narayan style of singing. He had a keen interest and love for Indian music from a tender age and has been training for a career in music since then. While his friends played and enjoyed themselves, Sandeep was focused on his career and was regular with his riyaaz.

When he had been asked earlier what would he do on winning the Indian Idol 2 title, he had answered that he would give back in return the same love and confidence the audience showered on him and also take his family on a world tour.

His dream has materialised and he

is on the top of the world. He has walked away with the title and of course, Rs 1 crore contract, a car and loads of other gifts.
