Vivek’s having masti

MUMBAI: One guy who is turning out to be the apple of every director’s eye is Vivek Oberoi. No wonder that they want to repeat him. Buzz has it that Indra Kumar is keen to cast him in his next venture. “I had a ball of a time shooting for Masti. So much so that I never wanted the shooting of the film to end. Most importantly, I bonded very well with Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria. The movie is a hit. What more could I ask for?” Vivek also said that working with Subhash Ghai was a richly rewarding experience. “I learnt a lot,” he said. So if Ghai repeats him, it won’t be a surprise anymore!

Saroj showers praises

MUMBAI: They may not have made much news in print but choreographer Saroj Khan cannot stop showering praises over Taj Mahal’s two lead artistes Zulfi Syed and Sonya Khan. “I call Zulfi Mr Perfect. The grace with which he carries himself is amazing. He suits the role of Shahjahan to the T. And what do I say about Sonya Khan. She is such a graceful dancer. Plus she is so pretty. In all these years of my career as a choreographer I haven’t come across such amazing newcomers. They certainly deserve praise,” she said. For those who don’t know Sonya Jehan is the granddaughter of yesteryear actress Noorjehan.

Battle over title

MUMBAI: In response to a complaint filed by Yashish Enterprises vis-à-vis the unauthorised use of their title ‘Sipahee’, producer Keshu of DMS Films has sent a letter to the producers’ association, informing that he is not utilising the title for his project, as he is just not interested in the said title. Keshu is currently producing an Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan and Lara Dutta starrer.

Preity defines sexy

MUMBAI: Preity Zinta is disgusted with all the sleazy music videos where women try to be sexy by dropping half of their clothes. She has a very different definition of ‘sexy’. In a recent interview the ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ star said that to look sexy one doesn’t have to shed their clothes. “Sex appeal is intelligence, it’s the way you look at someone, it’s always more subtle. Sometimes just the way you look at someone, the way you touch that person, that’s sexy,” says the dimpled star. On the sleazy music videos that are coming out by the dozen, Preity says, “With all these cheesy videos coming out, these women trying to be sexy, it’s disgusting. Sex appeal is not loud, trash is. You don’t have to drop half your clothes to be sexy. Sometimes just the way you look at someone, the way you touch, is sexy.”
