Book on musical instruments launched
KATHMANDU: A book on the traditional musical instruments of Nepal was launched at Gurukul on May 26. Written by the President of Nepali Folk Musical Instruments Museum, Ram Prasad Kadel, the English translation of the book titled Musical Instruments of Nepal was launched by veteran litterateur Satya Mohan Joshi.
Talking at the function, Joshi praised Kadel for constantly working for the preservation of the traditional instruments of the country.
He said, “These instruments carry their own history. And the way Kadel has worked towards promoting and preserving them with his museum and his book is laudable.”
He further said that the book, which has been written after extensive research, would be very helpful to people studying about the Nepali instruments.
Jana Kabi Keshari Dharma Raj Thapa, critic Prakash Sayami and theatre person Prachanda Malla were also present to support the writer.
