Boyle to rescue slum kids

MUMBAI: Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle is flying to India to rescue the film’s childstars. The British filmmaker fears the lives Azhar Ismail, 10 and Rubina Ali 9 who live in slums are spiralling downwards despite their Oscars success, reported thesun.co.uk.

A 500,000 pounds trust was set up to provide them schooling and apartments, but a source said, “Their lives do not appear to be any better.” Recently, both the children were thrown on the streets after Mumbai civic authorities demolished nearly 50 shanties in a slum, terming them
