Brangelina ask for super-discount
LONDON:
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly asked for a 95 per cent discount on a Texas hotel. The pair wanted to stay at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa near Austin in Texas while Brad was shooting Tree of Life, but were stunned to find out the suite cost $2,000 a night.
Instead of paying the fee, Brad’s people reportedly asked the manager to let them stay in Litton House — a 2,600 sq ft residence separate from the main resort — for 30 days for the price of $3,000, which is a 95 per cent discount on the standard rate.
However, sources close to the couple say they didn’t ask for the discount because they couldn’t afford the price, they simply wanted to stick to the budget for Tree of Life
Brad took on the role in the independent film after lead actor Heath Ledger died of an accidental prescription drugs overdose in January. Brad and Angelina eventually decided to stay in a rented house near the rest of the cast and crew in Smithville, Texas.
