Entertaining parents:
Kathmandu Don Bosco Higher Secondary School observed its fifth parents day on March 4. Students put up some interesting cultural shows as well as fashion shows along with songs, dance and drama. Chief guest Abhi Subedi said that such shows help promote the overall development of students. The school also released Joon Hamro Saathi a collection of children’s song and Pragya – the school magazine. — Saya Parajuli, Don Bosco School
Speaking out:
The Baba Boarding High School organised the Inter-school Primary English Elocution Contest on February 18. Primary students also exhibited their craftwork. The chief guest of the event was Reena Rodrigues, deputy director of Elite’s Co Ed. The participants were evaluated by a panel of highly qualified judges comprising Rajkumar Gautam, Ratna GC and Subash Gautam. Baba Boarding bagged the first position with LRI and Whitefield School coming in second and third respectively. — Urgen Yonzon
Our interests:
On the occasion of the National Education Day, Suryodaya Secondary School organised an ‘Extra Curricular Activities Exhibition’. Projects for various subjects like Science, English, Nepali, Environment Science, and Maths were exhibited. The students got a good platform to display their talent regarding the subjects they are interested in. The pre-primary section made colourful drawings and craftwork for exhibition. Parents and other distinguished guests visited the exhibition. Environment club had presented small models of villages reflecting the life of villagers. Various items like pen stand, sitting mat were made out of plastic bags to bring awareness about the misuse of plastic were also a part of exhibition. Kids on stage:
The tiny tots of Nursery and KG put up good performances as part of their class day programme on March 3. The kids entertained the parents and guests who come and see them perform. The programme was a tremendous success. — Reeha Dhungel, Class IX, Triyog High School
