Clean up! clean up!
Students of Siddhartha Children Group of Siddhartha English School organised a sanitation campaign in their school and its surrounding locality. They had also conducted a mass rally with a participation of 78 students to create public awareness in society on the issue. They picked up solid waste products and plastic bags.
Pamphlets were stuck on walls of village explaining the advantages of a healthy and clean society. “As a concerned citizen it was our duty to take part in common matters of our society,” said Subhadra Chaudhary, a participant. — Pradeep Bashyal, Sayapatri English High School, Parasi, Nawalparasi

Shuvatara School organised its third cross country race in its residential school at Lamatar. Umesh Shrestha of Adarsha School bagged the first prize leaving behind 191 competitors. He completed the race of 8 km in exactly 29 minutes and 39 seconds. Surya Bahadur Karki of Birendra Sainik School stood second. He completed his race in 30 minutes and 6 seconds and Herman Thapa of International Study Centre of Kathmandu, who completed his race in 31 minutes, 22 seconds, stood third. From among the boys, Kavre, Balkunj and Nirmal School stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and from among the girls Pushpanjali School, Birendra Sainik School and Ananta School won the three respective prizes. — Alisha Manandhar,
Shuvatara School
Fare thee well Fluorescent celebrated its farewell programme within the school premises on June 24. The students of grades IX and X performed a cultural programme. Though the seniors were unhappy to depart the juniors cheered them up. The Fluorescent family wished best regards to the outgoing batch for their bright future.
