If you think home appliances make a difference and further your idea of beautifying your home, which ultimately not only becomes a matter of proud for you but also for your friends, relatives and kith and kin, then time is over to mulling over this and getting flummoxed. Here comes an opportunity that will help you materialise your ideas to decor your home with the necessary equipment and appliances. Global Exposition and Management Services (GEMS) is organising first of its kind show in Nepal — Nepal Home Appliances Show 2005 at Bhrikuti Mandap which will kick off May 26. The Himalayan Times and Annapurna Post is the official media for the expo.

Khagendra Baral, director, GEMS, says, “It’s all about providing an expanded platform for the dealers as well as customers where they can pick the appliances according to their need at an affordable price. In the recent years, home appliances have become essential parts of our homes but still awareness has to reach to every household. I hope such fare can be one means to generate awareness among people.”

A maximum of 60 stalls will display an array of domestic devices of around 15 different brands. As suggests Baral, some of the companies will be launching their new equipment in the show only. IFB represents as a sponsor and U-Like Home Pvt Ltd and Whirlpool are co-sponsors. Black & Decker, LG, Orpat, Rowa, TCL, Hyundai Electronics, Videocon, Panasonic, etc are some major brands that are exhibiting and launching their products.

Baral informs, “I believe this will be of great help for the customers also. The expo provides a ‘see and touch’ experience to the customers and the participating companies will provide detailed information on each equipment they have on display. Customers will be aware of the brand as well.”

A large array of equipment from refrigerators to washing machines, television to toasters, hair dryer to blender, whatever you name of different brands will be available at the expo. Vinod Koirala of U-Like Home Pvt Ltd says, “In the course of our brand building campaign, I hope this show will be definitely support. Firstly we will be able to make known our brand to the visitors and secondly, customers will benefit as we will be providing certain sum of discount to them. We have most of the equipment, which are available on advanced booking, and we are planning to offer off on booking during the expo.”
