Broaden your horizons with Ambition

KATHMANDU:

Many students are perplexed about their future plans regarding higher education. Everyone may be coercing them either to become a doctor or an engineer. However, they’d like to try something else. But they have no idea how to go about it or how to convince their parents or guardians. And parents are also in the same boat. They do not know beyond making their child doctors or engineers.

That’s where Ambition 2008 comes in. Ambition is an education and career expo presented by Annapurna Post in association with Trinity International College. Cosmic Education Nepal is the main sponsor.

Ambition is one of the biggest education fairs in the country with something for everyone. This year’s Ambition, the third one, is scheduled from May 22 to 25 at the Bhrikutimandap. And the highlights of the fair are over 100 participants — institutions, colleges, educational consultancies, foreign institutions, among others. Apart from the stalls where students can get detailed information about the institutions and subjects of their interest, many seminars will also be held which will be a great help for students to get a better idea of what they want to do or study in the future.

Ambition is a chance for students to broaden their horizons and look at their future in a new and possibly better way.

To add to the fun of visiting an education fair, there is an attractive mega door prize — a Kinetic Nova 135, which will be given to the lucky winner after Ambition 2008 ends. The organisers are expecting a crowd of 75,000 to visit the expo this year.

The ticket to Ambition 2008 is priced at Rs 20 and will be sold at the venue on the days of the fair.

If you are still undecided and fighting with your parents over your choice of stream, why don’t you visit Ambition 2008 along with them and sort out your differences here? See you. — HNS
