The Bakery Cafe announced the launch of a bar at The Bakery Cafe, Jawalakhel. The Bakery Cafe, Jawalakhel, well known as a family eatery and outing hub has been serving customers since 1992. With the launch of a bar on the first floor, separate from the current service area, it aims to serve its customers better and yet maintain its homely environment, ideal for even children.

The launch of a bar coincides with the introduction of live music on Fridays, with Hits FM Music Award winning singer, Dimple Singh and his band Full Circle. The cafe, the only one in the chain of seven, to be located in Lalitpur, will now provide Lalitpur residents a convenient option for a time out within easy reach of their homes. The Bakery cafe set the trend of fast food in Kathmandu and has been the key factor in introducing the concept of eating out; be it with friends, family or colleagues. The chain started spreading after the first outlet was introduced at Teendhara, Kathmandu in 1990. Since then six outlets have been established at Jawalakhel, Newroad, New Baneshwor, Maharajgung, Teku and Thamel.
