Troubled supermodel Naomi Campbell has impressed sanitation bosses by working hard to clean the floor during her first day of community service in New York City.

Campbell began a five-day sentence by mopping the floor at the city’s sanitation department and she showed no signs of her diva behaviour. Contactmusic.com said the model was given the sentence for flinging a mobile phone at her maid. Her colleagues at the sanitation department say she is working harder than many regular staff members. One employee said, “She worked really hard and asked the supervisor, ‘How am I doing?’ He told her she was working harder than some regular staff. But some of the women who work here have been a bit catty and say they are going to make extra mess for her to clean.”
