A lively festival that brings together many Nepalis and Germans, the masks, costumes and the like has also resulted in it being called the ‘German Jokkar Jatra’ in Nepal. The students were really creative as they came dressed in innovative costumes.
This festival began in Cologne, Germany in the month of February. Merry-making, dancing and entertainment are the main objectives of the festival. Once every year, this Carneval is celebrated in major German cities to escape the otherwise stressing work problems and familial responsibilities.
