Celebs come together for a cause

KATHMANDU: An extravaganza of dance and music ‘Amar Panchhi: Rising from the Ashes’ is all set to enthral audience on the evening of May 14 at Tundikhel. With an aim to support the earthquake victims affected by the Gorkha earthquake 2015, the Nepalese Army Wives Association (NAWA) is organising the charity event that is scheduled to start from 6:00 pm.

Our artistes Rekha Thapa, Priyanka Karki, Keki Adhikari, Nisha Adhikari, Reecha Sharma, Sushma Karki and Indira Joshi along with Bollywood artistes Sonakshi Sinha and Malaika Arora will come together to dance and showcase musical performances for a cause.

You will get to watch various dance forms — traditional, modern, contemporary, and belly dance among others. With a total of 40 crew members including 25 dancers, Sinha and Arora from India will be performing on stage. And Nepali artistes will put forth their performances with 50 backup dancers.

“We are very excited about the event. And we expect around 60,000 strong audience to be present at the venue,” shared Sujeeta Gurung, one of the team members of Alpenglow Events.

“The funds raised from the event will be used for different projects such as building schools for quake-affected people,

reconstruction of Dharahara, among others,” Gurung informed.

Tickets are priced at Rs 5,000, Rs 2,500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 500.
