CHITWAN: A cultural programme with performances by singers from different genres and the comic team of Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula from the popular television show Tito Satya was organised at the Narayani riverbank in aid of constructing the Maula Kalika Temple on February 27.
The programme began with a dance performance by artistes of Narayani Kala Mandir.
The audience comprising every age group were seen to be enjoying the programme.
The Giri-Niraula duo and that of Rabi Dongol and Gopal Nepal had the audience in stiches with their comic performances.
The folk songs by Amar Birahi Gurung, Sharmila Gurung, Narayan Raymajhi, Raju Pariyar, Shila Ale and Bima Kumari Dura and dohori between Srijana Birahai Thapa and Krishna Reule were received enthusiastically.
Pop singers Pramod Nirwan with Jaba tara ganera, Priti Kaur with Parewa ko jodi, Kranti Ale with E hoi and Nima Rumba with Saanjhama pani provided much entertainment. The shouts for ‘Once more’ kept being heard. Singer Ram Krishna Dhakal also entertained the audience with two of his hit numbers.
