Daffodil fun treat

KATHMANDU: Daffodil Public School, Battisputali, organised a fete on March 13. It offered games, music dedication, food stalls, face painting, etc.

“It’s an annual function that we organise where our students can get a nice break from their regular studies after which they again get energised to carry on with their regular routine,” informed Uttam Kumar Lama, founder principal of the school.

Students, parents and ex-students of Daffodil had thronged to enjoy the event and it was full of fun. Ugyen Lama, a nursery student, was playfully indulged in getting his hand painted.

Students were vying for the prizes being offered at stalls. Shweta Sharma, a student of class eight in the school, had little time to speak, “Ours is a food stall and it has never been empty since morning. It’s really a wonderful fete.”

Apart from students and parents, there were few who had just entered to find out what was going on. And there was a raffle as well in the fete which was meant for a noble cause. Lama informed, “The money raised from the raffle will be utilised for helping out needy and poor children.”
