Deepak’s star shines bright
Kathmandu:
A total of 13,95,253 votes were cast to choose the first Samsung Nepali Tara. And the boy from Prakashpur, Sunsari, Deepak Limbu, walked away with the trophy, which was presented by Deepak Jangam. He told Limbu that along with the trophy he was handing over a great responsibility and had hopes that Limbu would shoulder it properly. When he was declared the winner, a stunned Limbu was dumbstruck at first. “I wish to thank the voters and the team,” he said, and promised “to keep singing for the people, entertaining them even if it killed him”. Runner-up Dharmendra Sewan wished Limbu well and thanked all his fans for making it possible for him to reach so far. He said that his album would be coming out in the market soon.
