Charlize Theron calls herself “a salty girl” when it comes to snacking. She loves potato chips. Ordinarily, she’d have to watch what she eats, but Theron needed to gain 30 pounds to play real-life serial killer Aileen Wuornos in ‘Monster’. Potato chips helped. She says she had a “secret stash” of chips with her at all times during filming. She also pigged out on doughnuts and anything drenched in cream or cheese.

Theron’s performance is already being hailed by critics, but the actress says she never felt that she nailed the part during the filming.

“Never, ever, ever, ever. We had four days left of shooting and I had a dream that I was being replaced. And it was really specific, it was like the dream was a specific actor that was replacing me. And I think that never left me. I never, ever got to a place that I felt like now I know what I’m doing,” Theron told.

The actress says showing naked emotion was more difficult for her than taking off her clothes in this movie.

“That kind of nakedness is almost much harder for me to do, and I know it sounds lame, than to take your clothes off or something, and that’s just because I’m very comfortable with my body. I was a ballerina for 12 years and your body is just an instrument and you just use it,” Theron told.
