The movies that are being screened are all short films which are around 10-15 minutes long. In each session, around 8-10 such short films will be shown.

According to Inaki Rivero, coordinator of the programme, “Short films are very popular in European countries nowadays. It is mostly new comers who make such films. But the films we have here are from well-known directors as well.”

Some of the films have also won awards. There are a variety of films that you can watch, from comedies to tragedies, social issues to entertaining ones. “This will be a good opportunity to strengthen ties between Nepal and Spain, and Nepali people can also learn about Spanish culture and about different regions of Spain,” says Rivero.

The movies will have English sub-titles and discussions will also be held.

The festival is being organised by The Spanish Language Department Campus of International Languages and The Embassy of Spain in New Delhi in collaboration with The Honorary Consulate of Spain in Kathmandu and The Nepal Tourism Board.
