Fifty golden years of serving education

Kathmandu: Shree Jana Kalyan Secondary School, Boudha, Mahankal celebrated its 50th anniversary on March 10 in the school premises. Established in 1954 just after the nation had awakened from the feudal yoke of Rana regime, the school has played substantial role to educate several in the locality.

The celebration comprised cultural programmes by the students. The chief guest was former vice-chancellor of TU Trailokya Nath Uprety and was presided over by Prabal Raj Pokhrel.

Narbada Sharma, principal, said, "The last 50 years have proved to be very fruitful. This year, the school has taken a big stride in building blocks for different purposes." — Himalayan News Service
