Following in first lady’s footsteps?

LONDON:

Actress Kate Winslet seems to be going in for a bit of power dressing as she follows in the footsteps of next first lady of the US, Michelle Obama.

Winslet wore a stunning black dress by designer Narciso Rodriguez, who designed the outfit worn by Michelle at her husband Barack Ombama’s presidential victory speech, reports mirror.co.uk. Winslet, 33, wore the outfit for the premiere of her new movie Revolutionary Road in London. She combined the dress with killer heels by Roger Vivier and shimmering Chopard jewellery.

Meanwhile, Winslet’s victory at the Golden Globes award was overlooked by her family because they were busy with her sister who gave birth to a baby girl.

Contactmusic.com reports her as saying, “My sister just had a baby this week so my family have all been completely preoccupied with my sister’s little girl. It’s been great. I haven’t thought about it (the awards) at all.” — HNS
