LONDON: Mel Gibson is taken aback by the level of forgiveness he has been shown in the wake of his arrest and subsequent anti-Semitic tirade earlier this year.

Gibson, in an interview with talk show host Jay Leno, said: “I’ve been overwhelmed by the understanding. It just tells you how you get things wrong sometimes. It’s a work in progress. ”
