Every year we go on an annual school picnic. This day is remarkable because it’s a fun day free of studies and lectures. The musical chair is enjoyed by all.

I will never forget the picnic that we went to when I was in Class VII. We had been taken to Godavari then. My friends and I decided to bring some home cooked food also.

My mother prepared chicken with gravy, while my friends brought pulao, tomato pickle, and other non-vegetarian items.

As soon as we reached the spot, we ran excitedly towards the botanical garden. Afterwards we enjoyed splashing cold water on each other, and one of my friends fell into the river. We also played badminton, cricket and frisbees.

Then at around 1:00 pm we had lunch, which was delicious.

Then we waited for the musical chair to begin. And that year, it wasn’t a teacher who won. I won the game and was happy to receive toffies and chocolate as prize.

Then at around 3:00 pm we packed up everything and returned with lovely memories.
