KATHMANDU: Scheer Memorial Hospital in association with AIMS Children’s series is organising the ‘Samsung KTM Fun Run 2006’ on October 22, 2006.

The annual event which is being organised for the second time will have 2,500 participants participating in the fun run contest of 5 km, which will start from Basantapur and end at BICC. While 1,500 participants are expected to be children (above the age of 10 years), the organisers expect the rest to be adults.

Those able to clinch the first, second and the third placed will be given a trophy each, and all other participants will be given a medal each, which has been flown in especially from South Africa.

The forms for the fun run are available at Dharahara Bakery Café, Baneswore Bakery Café, and Bakery Café Durbarmarg, and are priced at Rs 250. The proceeds of the event will be donated to Scheer Memorial Hospital.
