Get ready for class

KATHMANDU :

In order to be ready for your class, you need to do your homework and have it ready when it is due. It is a good idea to go over your notes from class a few minutes before the class. By doing this, you will refresh your memory and be ready to pick up where the last class finished. Your mind will be ready for the course.

Keep a copy of your course syllabus with you at all times. That way you will know what is due when. Enter the information into your daily, weekly and monthly schedules. Don’t let a term paper take you by surprise. You need to know when major tests or quizzes are to be given.

If you have trouble with your homework, talk with your teacher. Don’t wait to come to class and say you have a problem. Most teachers will work with you to get the homework ready. If you have any questions that evolved from your homework, bring them to class

with you to ask the teacher

either during the class or during office hours.

Always make sure that you come to class on time. Being late has no excuse. Don’t try to make one. It is courteous to be on time. When you are on time, it shows that you value your time as well as your teacher’s time. Remember that your teacher may have come a much longer distance than you did.

If you want to do well in class, don’t sit in the back of the class. If you don’t want to sit on the front, it is ok, but pick a spot in the middle or near the front. You want to be able to concentrate on your teacher. Make it a point to minimise your distractions. If you know they will distract, don’t sit near friends. Plan out your class time so that you can get the best possible results. — StudyTips
