The academy is run by Katia Verreault and Binayak Shrestha, who work together as dance partners at the Latino Quarters. They have been teaching Salsa for last three years.
Says Katia, “Though we are starting with Salsa, we will be starting Tango and Kathak classes too.”
Salsa dance like the Latin sauce is spicy and hot. It is a dance that is meant for a couple, and instead of covering the entire floor, dancers dance in a fixed area.
The workshop for beginners will start on January 13, which will be held for two weekends. Regular classes will continue on weekdays. After the intensive workshop, participants can join for weekday classes for more advanced steps.
Every last Sunday of the month, a new batch of dancers are admitted for the classes.
