Gibson ‘love child’ sells story for $20,000

NEW YORK: An Australian woman claiming to be Mel Gibson’s love child has sold her story to a British tabloid for $20,000.

Carmel Sloane claims her mother was picked up by Gibson while she was hitchhiking in Australia in 1976 and was conceived in the back of a car. Her mother and she have been paid $20,000 for their story, reported imdb.com. Sloane’s ex-husband is angry that he was not warned about the tale. He said, “I was so upset and shocked.”

When asked if he had spoken to his ex-wife about the story, he said, “She’s denying the whole thing.” He added that the claims were “mentioned during our relationship, but I always thought it was a crock”.
