Close buddies of Farah Khan, both Tabu and Karan Johar appear at different instances in the film. However, both have just blink and disappear bits in the films. Nevertheless who minds additional items as far as they are complimentary?

Karan Johar appears in the end-credits of the film with a board in his hand, as a ‘costume designer of Shah Rukh Khan’. Likewise, all other members of the cast and crew of the film self-introduce themselves in the end-credits. So be alert enough to catch them on screen before you miss them out between the munch of your popcorn.

Anil launches website

MUMBAI: Anil Kapoor fans rejoice! The net-savvy Anil Kapoor is all set to use the medium of Internet for his benefit. Kapoor has launched his personal authorised website http://www.anilkapoor.net that will give an insight about the actor’s past, present and future commitments.

Says the excited star, “Over the 25 years of my career as an actor, I have always wanted to share a part of myself with my fans. The Internet has given me the ideal opportunity.” The website will help Kapoor interact with all his fans by e-mail.

Manish’s directorial debut

MUMBAI: The cat is out of the bag… at least that’s what the rumour mills would want us to believe. Manish Malhotra, who is all set to don a new robe, that of a film director, has reportedly zeroed in on Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur for his directorial debut.

Manish, who is scripting the film in Goa, denied when asked to verify the development. “Believe me, I haven’t spoken to anyone yet,” Manish informs, “I didn’t want to speak to anyone till I complete my script. Since I am ready with the second draft of the script now, I hope to decide on the casting once I return to Mumbai.”

However, Manish does not express surprise when asked whether Kareena and Shahid would enact principal roles in the film. “I haven’t bounced off the idea to Kareena yet. Nor did I discuss it with Shahid. In fact, I don’t think I would be taking any decision till the end of May because I am off to the US for an award function,” the ace designer clarifies. But there can’t be smoke without fire, right?

Manisha’s new passion

MUMBAI: Actress Manisha Koirala is all set to do a course in filmmaking. And for that she would be shifting base though just temporarily for about six months to a year to New York. And for her new passion, she is currently busy on an apartment-hunting spree in New York.

Bollywood babe for Brad Pitt

MUMBAI: Ace villain Gulshan Grover has been officially selected by Paramount to choose an Indian heroine to be cast opposite Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt for a future project. Confirming the news Gulshan Grover said, “I have been sent the brief about the kind of girl Paramount has in mind. She should look Indian but should have universal appeal,” he said. Priety Zinta, Rani Mukherjee and Konkana Sen Sharma are some of the names being considered. Gulshan further added, “I’m not to divulge anything because I’m bound by a contract.” Grover is also to play an important role in the film. Gulshan is also helping Hyperion Films with the casting of Marigold.
