Kathmandu: Kishor Gurung, veteran guitarist and ethnomusicologist, will be touring Germany for a month. He will be performing solo at Luneburg; Mülheim/Ruhr; Bergisch Gladbach, Refrath; Romanic Church, Cologne, Frankfurt; Goslar, Heidelberg and will also hold a lecture presentation on aspects of Nepali music at Heidelberg University. He says, "The lecture would be on my research works on Nepali music at Department of South Asian Studies at the Hiedelberg University." According to him, he will be "recording a solo guitar piece for a German music company called Sacra Music." This company will also publish guitar transcription of pieces written for piano and harpsichord, arranged for guitar by Kishor Gurung. He will leave for Germany on June 29. — HNS
