Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has slammed tabloid reports about her love life saying she had only one date with actor George Clooney and that her reported romance with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest was a “non-story”. According to contactmusic.com, Hatcher appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show to clear things up about her personal life.

She said tabloids blew her relationship with Clooney out of proportion. “That was really fabricated. We went to one dinner back in December (05), and that was it. No kissing. I read things about how he sent me a teddy bear and chocolates for Valentine’s Day, and I am in my mailbox going, ‘Did he really?’ Because I didn’t get them. Now they actually refer to him as my ex-boyfriend. It is hilarious.”

Talking about the tabloid pictures of her kissing American Idol host Seacrest she said the two were set up by a mutual friend. She said: “It is such a non-story. Interestingly enough, I haven’t seen him since that day.”
