Helping hand

KATHMANDU:

The employees of Radisson Hotel have joined hands to make a modest contribution toward the flood victims of the country. In a programme organised at the hotel on August 7, General Manager of the hotel Dorjee Sherpa handed over a cheque of Rs 17, 511 to the Finance Director of Nepal Red Cross, Indra Bahadur KC. The employees will also be contributing materials like clothes.

“This is one attempt in line with our efforts to regularly contribute to the needy in the country,” said Sherpa. The fund mobilisation initiative came from the All Nepal Hotel and Restaurant Worker’s Union, he added.

“What matters to us is an interest to help others in need,” KC said, adding, “We have also appealed for 1.7 million Swiss Franc for the flood victims from international donors through International Red Cross.”
