Himalayan experience

With an interest in Nepali art, literature and culture, On Yong Dak from Korea has organised a field trip to the Himalayan region. Their press release states the Annapurna art field trip starts on April 21 and continues for one and half month. Artists like Alok Gurung, MO Jabbar, SP Neupane, Gyan Mani Rai, NB Gurung and Ashuram Khaiju will be travelling from Lamjung to Manag, Thorang, Jomsom, Marpha, Tatopani, Punhil, Ghandruk, Lochak and Ghochak to Pokhara. They will be studying about the Himalayan region, lifestyle, culture and surrounding and will express their impressions through the medium of art. The works such as art, poem, short stories and photography done during the trip will be collected and published in both Korean and Nepali languages. The works will then be exhibited at Seoul this November. — HNS
