Hope on canvas

Beauty of Hope’, an exhibition of paintings by Renesa Institute of Fine Art’s eight students, was inaugurated at the Nepal Association of Fine Arts (NAFA) on August 24 by KP Oli, deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs.
Using mixed medium, watercolour, oil and pencil and ball pens on canvas, the students have mostly produced landscapes inspired from cultural monuments and heritage sties in and around the Valley, and the rural life and on the outskirts of the Valley. They have also done some portraits. Still life and recreation of other masters’ works have also featured in the collection. The students have just learned to walk, and still have a long way to go, however much can be expected from all the artists.
