KATHMANDU:

The preliminary rounds of Horlicks Genius Nepal, the national-level quiz contest organised by Horlicks in association with Kathmandu University High School, are going to be held at 16 centres across Nepal on September 26.

According to a Horlicks press statement, the centres are Butwal, Birendranagar, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Birtamode, Dang, Hetauda, Janakpur, Kathmandu, Kavre, Lalitpur, Mahendranagar, Chitwan, Nepalgunj, Pokhara and Dharan. The contest will begin at 11:00 am. Students can register by 10:00 am.

Four best teams from each centre will qualify for the quarter-finals to be held on the day of the prelims itself at each centre.

The best team from each centre will be chosen for for the semi-finals to

be held in Kathmandu in November.

There will be four semi-finals with four teams participating in each. The highest scoring team from each round will move to the finals to compete for the title of ‘Horlicks Genius Nepal 2008’. — HNS
